Eco-Friendly Packaging

As demand for more sustainable products continues to grow, Knight is committed to reducing its environmental impact through both eco-friendly packaging and responsible business practices. Across its operations, Knight actively works to conserve natural resources, minimise waste, and support more sustainable outcomes for its customers and the wider environment.

In 2023, Knight introduced eco-friendly packaging across all desking and storage ranges, reducing reliance on less sustainable materials and lowering its carbon footprint. Building on this progress, ongoing research in 2024 has focused on recyclable seating bags, further advancing packaging innovation. To make these improvements easy to recognise, Knight has introduced clear, on-pack labelling—helping customers quickly identify and choose more sustainable options.

A good choice for the environment

With our commitment to providing sustainable recycling options to our customers, we required a solution for the disposal of our chair bags. Knight are proud to announce we have partnered with Future Post.

Our Seating Bags are used to protect our chairs while in transit and when no longer required they can be disposed of for recycling at various 'soft plastic' recycling locations around NZ or returned to Knight and our team will collate and send the bags to Future Post, to be processed through their recycling facility.

Future Post

Are an innovative NZ company that have found a way to recycle domestic and commercial plastic waste, which they use to produce BioGro™ certified fence posts. This has the two-fold benefit of reducing the amount of plastic waste going into landfill, as well as providing an alternative option to treated timber fencing which can cause the leaching of chemicals into the soil and waterways. Future Post offers a partnership program to like-minded companies wanting to provide a recycling option for their plastic products.

It's a simple way for us to continue creating a positive environmental and social impact.
